The Marquette Law School Poll has asked about attitudes to public schools and education funding issues for some 14 years. There have been substantial changes in opinion over that time and among different groups. The public has opinions, but in some important cases are not well informed about schools or school-related funding issues (and parents are not much different from non-parents). This can influence public policy decisions and the ballot box at both the state and local levels. We take a look at the data and have a conversation about what it says and the implications for public education and election results over the coming year.
