Kick off the WASBO Spring Conference with one of our engaging pre-conference workshops. These three-hour sessions provide an extended opportunity to dive deeper into timely topics, gain practical strategies, and connect with fellow school business professionals in a smaller, interactive setting.

Description: Build reflexes—not just plans—through engaging improv exercises designed to strengthen emergency readiness. School staff are often first responders when situations unfold quickly, yet a “practice gap” exists between drills and real-world response. Heroic Improv (HI) bridges that gap using its 5-step cycle—Alert, Ready, Connect, Focus, Move—to help teams respond with clarity and confidence. These brief, interactive exercises build practical skills such as communication, adaptability, and decision-making that transfer to real emergencies. Simple, memorable, and immediately applicable, this workshop provides focused and flexible emergency training that strengthens your ability to respond effectively when it matters most.
