WASBO provides numerous opportunities for sponsorships designed to fit a complete range of budget and visibility requirements. WASBO sponsorships provides numerous benefits to your organization, while helping keep registrations for professional development affordable for Wisconsin school districts, and offering scholarships to outstanding high school seniors. 

WASBO Conference Sponsorships

The Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials hosts at least 20 conferences, seminars and workshops each year. While sponsorship opportunities vary somewhat depending upon the event, WASBO strives to create options for every marketing budget. Typical sponsorship opportunities include: Conference-wide sponsorships or Lanyards and name badges sponsorships (if applicable).

 

Fee increase as of July 1, 2023

WASBO’s mission is to provide professional development, to foster a network of support and to advocate for funding that ensures outstanding educational opportunities for all children in Wisconsin. We know we cannot do this without the support of our Service Affiliate members! Part of your support comes from the conference sponsorships members like you provide. In return, WASBO continues to increase the visibility of your company’s products and services with enhanced sponsor benefits before, during, and after conferences.

Given this, starting on July 1, 2023, with our new fiscal year, WASBO will be slightly increasing our sponsor fees — which have not been raised for members since 2019 — in line with inflation. The new fees will be:

  • Platinum Sponsorships: $3,750 for members and $4,250 for nonmembers
  • Gold Sponsorships: $2,750 for members and $3,250 for nonmembers
  • Silver Sponsorships: $1,750 for members and $2,000 for nonmembers
  • Bronze Sponsors: $1,000 for members and $1,250 for nonmembers
    • This includes Beverage Cart Sponsorships for WASBO’s Fall & Spring Fundraisers
  • Golf Hole (Friend Level) Sponsorships: $350 per golf hole (at WASBO’s Fall & Spring Fundraisers).

Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsors will be recognized on the WASBO GO App, WASBO’s Association App. Download it now for free from your phone’s App Store or Google Playstore. Your products and services will now be even more visible to the people who have the direct responsibility for purchasing goods and services in Wisconsin school districts – School Business Officials! With advertisements and other recognitions that link directly back to your website, connecting with Wisconsin school decision-makers is now as simple as a click! Service Affiliates can either sponsor WASBO’s conferences or purchase ad space to increase their visibility in the app!

Platinum & Gold Conference Sponsors

Platinum and Gold Sponsors will have their logos on the Event Splash Pages, which will be seen every time an attendee or potential attendee clicks on the event in the mobile app. We will need a high resolution PNG image of your logo. Please see the example to the left.

Homepage & Event Banner Ads
Platinum, Gold, & Silver Sponsors

Platinum, Gold, & Silver Sponsor Banner Ads will rotate throughout the app and in the event. All of these ads will be displayed on the mobile app the week prior to, the week of, and the week following the conference. Attendees can click on the ads and be taken to your website within the app.

If Sponsors are also exhibiting at applicable conferences, exhibitors will be listed first by sponsor level, then alphabetically. This means that top sponsors will receive top recognition.

Exhibiting at Conferences

WASBO hosts exhibit halls at the following conferences: the Midwest Facility Masters Conference, the Facilities Management Conference, the Spring Conference, and the summer Custodial & Maintenance Conferences. At the Midwest Facility Masters Conference, the Facilities Management Conference, and the Spring Conference, all Bronze and above sponsors have the opportunity to register for their booths early as a part of priority exhibitor registration so long as the companies agree to sponsor the conference by a the cutoff date. Please note that all sponsor and exhibitor fees are separate.

Right of First Refusal

Service Affiliate members who provide sponsorships receive a Right of First Refusal opportunity to sponsor again the following year. In an effort to increase efficiency and improve communication between WASBO and Service Affiliate members, we are modifying the Right of First Refusal process from past years. Right of First Refusal will take place on a quarterly basis per the conference schedule below. This new process allows for advanced planning and budgeting for both WASBO and sponsors, as well as a greater opportunity for new Service Affiliates to sponsor a professional development opportunity.

Scholarships and Awards Sponsorships

One of WASBO Foundation's principal priorities is the funding and allocation of scholarships to deserving high school seniors in Wisconsin.  At least two fundraising events are held annually to support these scholarships but additional, critical support comes from Service Affiliate members who provide scholarship sponsorship.  In addition to scholarships, WASBO presents several awards to recognize outstanding District Professionals who have gone above and beyond for their district, community and WASBO. With this recognition comes a financial prize to be used toward professional development. Service Affiliate members play a key role in WASBO Awards by sponsoring the financial component of the recognition.

Scholarships and most WASBO awards are presented at the Annual Spring Conference in May. Business Manager of the Year is presented at the State Education Convention in January.

Assets of scholarship and awards sponsorship include:

  • Digital advertising and recognition on WASBO GO mobile app during the conference where recipient(s) will be recognized
  • Recognition in WASBO publications
  • Opportunity to present the scholarship or award to the recipient during the conference where recipient(s) will be recognized (and potentially at the school's scholarship ceremony)
