2022 Spring Scholarship Golf and Bike Outings
Hit
the greens or jump on your bike to support student
scholarships awarded by WASBO to deserving Wisconsin high
school seniors! Network on Wednesday, May 18 with district
professionals and those who provide products and services to Wisconsin
schools, then join us for two days of powerful professional development
at the WASBO Foundation Spring Conference & Exhibits. WASBO offers
two different fundraising activities. Golfers have the opportunity to
play 18 holes at the scenic Trappers Turn Golf Course in Wisconsin Dells, while bikers will ride the 400 State Trail.
WASBO Scholarship Golf Outing
The
Scholarship Golf Outing will be held rain or shine, on Wednesday, May 18
at Trappers Turn, located at 2955 Wisconsin Dells Parkway, Wisconsin
Dells. Registration check-in is available from 8-9:30 AM, and
opportunities to hit on the practice range are available during this
time as well.
The
event kicks off with a shotgun start at 9:30 AM sharp, and sixsomes will
play a best ball scramble. WASBO Service Affiliate Members sponsor hole
events to make this a fun networking opportunity for everyone while we
benefit students by raising money for high school senior scholarships. When registering
for golf, please indicate any potential partners you would like to be
paired with (teams will consist of both school district professionals
and service affiliate vendors). Every effort will be made to honor your
requests.
Registration is $115 and
includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, mulligan/putting contest/string game card,
prizes, cart, lunch, beverages, networking, as well as a late afternoon
reception (4:30-6:30 PM) at the Kalahari with beverages, hot hors
d'oeuvres, and the awarding of golf prizes.

WASBO Scholarship Bike Outing
As
an alternative to the golf outing on Wednesday, WASBO offers its tenth
spring bike tour. We invite you to bike the 400 Trail from Reedsburg to
Union Center, where we will stop for lunch at the Spring Valley Golf
Course before returning. The trail is 18 miles long, making for a
36-mile round trip. You will need to bring your own bike and helmet.
Experienced riders will be along for the ride to assist with mechanical
issues. The 400 State Trail offers beautiful scenery, bountiful
wildlife, sandstone outcroppings, rolling farmland and runs parallel
with the Baraboo River.
Distance Options:
- 11:15 AM - 11 Mile Ride to Restaurant (22 Mile Round Trip)
- 10:30 AM - Extended Ride, Distance to be adjusted based on the group (Could be up to 36 Miles Round Trip)
A recreational pace
should have the group in Union Center around 12:15 PM for lunch. After
lunch, the ride back should be about two hours to Reedsburg, or 45
minutes to LaValle.
The Spring Bicycle Tour is a fundraising event supporting WASBO student
scholarships. The tour is $45 and includes the daily trail pass, lunch,
water and snacks for the ride, as well as a late afternoon
reception (4:30-6:30 PM) at the Kalahari with beverages, hot hors
d'oeuvres and networking with the golfers and conference attendees. A
