Registration Rates, Hotel Accommodations & Cancellation Policies

WASBO/WASPA School Personnel Academy registration rates include electronic conference handouts, breakfast, breaks, and lunch on Wednesday and Thursday. Save money and take advantage of both early bird discounts and multi-attendee pricing! Early bird pricing offers about a 5% savings over regular conference rates and is available to all registrants, regardless of membership status, simply by registering on or before Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  Organizations that register 2 or more individuals qualify for an additional discount of approximately 10% so bring your team and save! (To take advantage of multi-attendee pricing, at least one of your attendees must be a WASBO or WASPA member.)

*At least one individual from your organization must be a WASBO or WASPA member to take advantage of multi-attendee pricing. If the multi-attendee pricing option is selected erroneously (i.e. you are the only registrant from your organization), you agree to be billed for the difference in registration fees.
**Individuals registering at the Non-Member rate receive a free trial WASBO membership through 6/30/2020 if they have not previously been a member.

Hotel Accommodations


Please contact the Kalahari to reserve your accommodations on or before Saturday, November 2. To make a reservation reserve your room at this link. A block of rooms has been reserved at a rate of $82 per night for single occupancy, or $129 per night for double, triple or quads. The deposit policy for hotel reservations is one night (plus tax) at the time reservations are made. Hotel cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to arrival receive a full refund less $25 processing fee.  Less than 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival forfeits the entire deposit.


If you are sales tax exempt in Wisconsin, please be sure to bring BOTH your tax exempt form and a completed Wisconsin S211 and present them when checking in.  Unfortunately, Wisconsin state statute requires the Kalahari to collect sales tax for tax-exempt organizations from out of state.

Kalahari Hotel Check-In
In order to expedite your on site hotel check-in at the Kalahari:
  1. If you are sales tax exempt in Wisconsin, please be sure to bring BOTH your tax exempt form and a completed Wisconsin S211 and present them when checking in.
  2. Bring the credit card the room was charged to. If the card is not in your name, you should bring a "Letter of Authorization" form which was completed by the cardholder in your district.
  3. If you are using a purchase order, bring a copy of the purchase order.


Cancellation Policy


Full refund of fees will be made on School Personnel Academy cancellations received IN WRITING on or prior to November 26, 2019. (Cancellations may be emailed to Tina Hafeman at tina.hafeman@wasbo.com.)  For School Personnel Academy Conference cancellations received November 27 through December 3, $80 per cancelled conference day will be retained to help cover food costs (e.g. $160 will be retained if cancelling a full conference registration; if cancelling Wednesday only or Thursday only, $80 will be retained.) No refunds will be made for cancellations received on or after December 4 or for no shows at the conference.
