2023 WASBO Foundation FALL Conference

Grow the Power in You to advocate for the success of your students and district by attending the 2023 FALL Conference!

WASBO, in conjunction with the FALL Conference Planning committee, is pleased to present the 2023 WASBO Foundation FALL Conference on October 5-6 at The Osthoff in Elkhart Lake. This conference is geared toward all roles. We encourage Bookkeepers, Facilities Directors, Accounting, Business Managers as well as Service Affiliates to attend.

Thoughtfully Fit Teams: Create a Winning Culture

Are you brave enough to do whatever it takes to transform the dynamics of your team? In a competitive world, the highest-performing teams don't leave their success to chance. They build an environment that encourages real conversations, leverages differences and embraces healthy conflict. And they know consistent training and effort are required to build these skills and mindsets, just like winning sports teams practice the fundamentals for peak performance on game day.

Join Darcy Luoma, creator of Thoughtfully Fit®, for a no-holds-barred exploration of what it takes to create a winning culture on your team. From tackling tough issues head-on to fostering trust and camaraderie, she’ll unveil the secrets from coaching hundreds of teams over the last 20 years. Walk away with three game-changing questions you can use immediately that‘ll propel your team forward. Don't settle for mediocrity when greatness awaits.

This keynote message is designed to help the participants:

  • Set the tone: Recognize the impact that you have on any interactions with peers, direct reports, and managers
  • Establish the playing field: Gain awareness of what is needed to create a culture of trust and effective communication
  • Reduce the guessing: Explore how to name clear expectations (and hear them from the rest of the team)
  • Get people thinking: Provide an inspirational spark that’ll spark insights well after the event

In addition, the conference program will include sessions in the following tracks:

  • A Look at Health, Benefits & Wellness
  • Trending Topics
  • Financial News You Can Use
  • Year of Success
  • Facilities Manager Core Certification Modules 3 (Environmental Health & Safety) & 4 (Maintenance & Operations)

Join us for the WASBO Foundation FALL Golf and 0.0 Scholarship Fundraisers on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, and a networking reception at the Osthoff from 8-10 pm. Again this year there is a networking event on Thursday evening at the Osthoff for all attendees!

Don't miss out on this year's Team Building Activity! Bring a non-perishable item to donate to the Plymouth Food Pantry - together we can build relationships AND help the local community!
