2021 Fall WASBO CSRM: Measuring School Risks

Have qualitative and quantitative tools explained in a way that will help you analyze, evaluate, and measure school risks.

Take this course virtually or in person!

Participants will learn to analyze and evaluate school risks, along with the mechanics of forecasting and trending losses to be used in estimating loss projections, determining insurance program retention, and deductibles.

Topics include:

  • Introduction and Qualitative Analysis for School Risks
  • Qualitative Risk Assessment and Loss Run Analysis
  • Quantitative Analysis: Tools and Forecasting
  • The Risk Analysis Process.

The exam is optional but strongly encouraged even for those who do not wish to earn the designation. The CSRM curriculum and national designation are provided by The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Five courses of study are required for CSRM designation including: Fundamentals of Risk Management, Handling School Risks, Measuring School Risks, Funding School Risks, and Administering School Risks. These sessions are also available as online courses and may be taken at your convenience.
