WASBO LEADERSHIP ACADEMY ATTENDEE NOTICE
COVID-19 REQUIRED SAFEGUARDS
As WASBO begins preparing for in-person conferences and workshops, providing attendees with a safe and healthy learning environment is our top priority. The Leadership Academy co-hort will find the most success to meet in person. We will however be prepared to keep the dates and move to individual virtual sessions as needed. To offer in-person professional development well, all participants must follow the safeguards necessary for minimizing transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The safeguards include the following:
Before attending each Leadership Academy session:
Prepare to attend by monitoring your fever and symptoms before the session.
Stay home if you have a fever or other symptoms.
Stay home if you have a family member with COVID-19 and follow CDC recommended precautions.
During each Leadership Academy session:
Have your temperature checked upon arrival to the session.
Wear a mask during the session. A mask is required and will be provided if you do not have one.
Practice physical distancing as required.
Follow the CDC’s handwashing guidance.
Follow the CDC’s sneezing and coughing guidance.
After each Leadership Academy session:
Monitor your temperature and symptoms to keep yourself and others safe.
If you are uncomfortable with these safeguards, you should not attend this year's Leadership Academy.
The Leadership Academy will provide school leaders with critical leadership skills. We are confident that WASBO members can safely conduct an in-person academy with comprehensive COVID-19 safeguards in place and practiced by all who attend.
