In November 2005 several interested school districts met to determine if they wanted to establish a new WASBO Regional organization.  The distance from Madison and Sparta, where the Madison and West Central regionals meet, was too long a drive for many of the school districts.

From the beginning it was apparent that those in attendance felt that a regional organization would be of great vaalue to them.  Sharing amoung themselves and bringing in resource people would save everyone time and money.  The group decided to hold their regional meetings at the CESA 3 office in Fennimore where they were offered meeting space.  In addition, they decided to meet in the afternoon following the district administrators meeting, thus providing an opportunity to have the district administrators stay on if they were interested in any of the agenda items to be taken up.
