WASBO CSRM: Handling School Risks
This course studies the development of a safety
and health plan, loss control fundamentals, risk control and mitigation
of exposures, and managing school claims. A post-accident loss control
reduction technique also is covered.
Topics include: Introduction to and
Fundamentals of Controlling Risk, Safety and Health Program for School
Districts, School District Exposures, and Managing School Claims.
A
multiple-choice exam will be held at the end of the day. The exam is
optional but strongly encouraged even for those who do not wish to earn
the designation. The CSRM curriculum and national designation are
provided by The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Five courses of study are required for CSRM designation including:
Fundamentals of Risk Management; Funding School Risks; Measuring School
Risks; and Administering School Risks. These sessions are also available
as online courses and may be taken at your convenience.
Graduate
credit through Viterbo University is available when taking both
Fundamentals of Risk Management and Handling School Risks.
